Michael Fahey began in the logging business 25 years ago working with just a chain saw and strong will to succeed. As the years passed and his business grew into a larger more mechanized harvesting company Michael decided to diversify his interests.  He changed the business name to N E Timberland Investments LLC and began to purchase land and standing timber in an ever broadening area.  Today NETI has land and timber holdings throughout New England and New York. 

In today’s ever changing world NETI has evolved to meet the demands of land owners, foresters, state and federal agencies as well as the general marketplace for wood products worldwide.  Equipped with everything from lightweight harvesters for selective harvesting in environmentally sensitive areas such as drinking water supply watersheds to the larger, heavier equipment used for industrial land clearing projects, NETI is capable of satisfying any type of timber harvesting need you may have.

Michael points out that just having the appropriate equipment for any give task is only half the battle.  For each piece of equipment there needs to be an operator and the machine can only be as good as that operator.  For this reason Michael has surrounded himself with the best people available for each machine.  They all have the same goals in mind at all times.  Safety, professionalism, experience, honesty, integrity, teamwork and a desire to do the best possible job are common denominators throughout the group of people NETI employs. 

In response to changes in the market place NETI began it trek into the wood chip supply business last year.  With substantial timber holdings suitable for chip harvesting NETI is producing several different grades of wood chips for the evolving biomass market.  These chips can be suitable for the manufacture of wood pellets, bio bricks, paper, as well as fuel for industrial wood or coal fired boilers for the generation of electricity or for heat.
